About me

I was born and raised in Lansing, MI. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors in Family Community Services. As a lifelong resident of Ingham County, I take great pride in being a Michigander. From enjoying the pristine views from the beaches of Lake Michigan to hiking hidden trails, there is no other place I’d rather call home.

I began my professional work in housing almost six years ago while employed for HUDs Low-Income Public Housing program. During this time, I worked my way up from Assistant Asset Manager to Assistant Executive Director of Operations. I successfully managed over 200 town homes, duplexes, and single-family homes in the Lansing area. While working side by side with families, I recognized a common theme: residents possessed limited resources and knowledge surrounding home-ownership. I soon made it my mission to improve this and began sharing resources to anyone who expressed interest in owning a home.

I have a firm belief that affordable housing should be available to every person, regardless of socioeconomic status. As a REALTOR®, my goal is to educate and guide first time home buyers through the home-ownership process. I look forward to helping individuals and families create generational wealth by purchasing property in the city they love. Will you be next?

First Time Home-buyers

  1. Take a home-ownership class
    • Click here for an online course! Although not mandatory, it is beneficial.

2. Credit Report

    • An important step to owning a home is your credit score! For a conventional loan, a score of 620+ is required. To qualify for an FHA loan, you can have a score of 580. Find out which loan is best for you. This is also the time to review any items on your report to pay off so that your score increases. Remember: The higher your credit score, the better your interest rate may be.

3.Look at your finances

    • You will need funds for your down-payment, closing costs and an emergency fund for AFTER closing. Start saving now!

4.Create your budget

    • If you haven't created a budget, now is the time. Sticking to your budget is important. This discipline can be the change needed to buying your dream home! Check out my budget spreadsheet to the right!

   5.Get pre-approved

    • Contact a lender to get pre-approved. You can use the mortgage calculator to the right to get an idea of how much your monthly payments will be.

   6.Give me a call
